~~~HELMICS~~~
This year was an interesting, busy and blessed year. The boys keep growing and we find it challenging to keep thier eyes focused on their faith when the world is so tempting. We ask for prayers this year for our family that we would walk with the armour of God upon us all. Pray, that as parents, we stay strong in our faith to teach our children the ways of the Lord and that we would be spiritual examples.
ME & DAN
Wow, we actually got to take a vacation without the kids this year. We headed south with a GPS and drove until it was warm. We ended up in Jacksonville, FL. It was relaxing and stress free! We were even able to meet up with the Schafer's for dinner and hanging at the beach. This year we were blessed to be able to get a new furnace and central air and take advantage of the tax credit. One more year and our house will be paid off!
DAN
This year Dan had a shoulder replacement surgery and it has been a miracle. Modern technology is amazing. Although he still experiences a small amount of pain, it is nothing compared to what it was. Not sure if he's aging gracefully, but he seems to be doing better! He co-coached Hunter's baseball team and was able to sit on the sidelines and watch him play football instead of coaching. Now he is helping with basketball. He has spent a lot of time reading and still loves to watch movies in his spare time. Only 4 more years until retirment!
BRANDON
Bran is now in 10th grade and he got his braces off this year. He's as tall as Dan and Garrett and is finally 16! He took this year off from sports and we're hoping he'll return next year. He was able to go to Florida for spring break last year and he enjoyed camping with his friends for July 4th. A little over 2 years and he'll be ready to fly the coop!
